Thanks to Maria Teresa Majoli of the Melograno Gallery

 of the collective exhibition entitled

FIZZY SHOW

The exhibition which opened Saturday March 26 at 6pm will
continue through April 8 in Via Marradi 62/68, Livorno.

One of the exhibition areas of the Melograno Gallery, Livorno.

Lots of colorful artwork on exhibition until April 8.

My artwork TEASE, 80x80cm, acrilic, which is one of the
paintings in the collection "Cactus Ladies"

"Tease" in the background.

Many colorful and ironic art pieces on exhibition.

The view of the gallery with the new show displayed.

A very nice, well-lit gallery which I had the pleasure to
visit days ago when I brought in my artwork.

New work and perhaps my strongest one

Beginning a new painting
and I believe it may be my
strongest one yet.
It comes from a very strong feeling
a philosophy I have
and so, the first marks on the canvas, actually
the first lines and texture
were done in an action
that was very satisfying!
I am hoping this physical expression
continues throughout the painting
until the very last drop of paint.

Group exhibition Corciano Festa della Donna (Women's Day celebration)

Opening day of the exhibition of paintings by various Umbrian artists on two themes the nude figure, and famous women in history.
Next to each famous woman was a short biography of each famous person.
I chose Lady Godiva, which can be seen in the center of this exhibition room in the hilltown, Corciano, not far from Perugia.

Here my piece is seen in the middle of the doorway. This is the room that I had my exhibition Faces and Places, a photography show, several years ago.

A curious and attractive collection of red shoes led the way to the various exhibition areas.

Guests including many of the artists who partecipated in the exhibition

My piece for the "Nude" section of the show can be seen in in
this photo, the girl reaching fora cloud in black and white.

One of the pieces shown in the section "famous women in history" here, Margaret Hack. I was especially curious about this piece since it so reminded me of a piece I did for another show at Rione Cassero (Foligno) of friend, Marco (shown down below)

...the other eye is winking, but what's the difference!

A detail from my oil painting "Rain Searcher". Also exhibited "Reading Lady Godiva"

WHAT AN ORIGINAL GIFT....THE MOON!!

A dear person, a very kind friend called me this evening.
"I have a gift to give you"
"But haven't you already given me many gifts?" I asked her
"No, this is a different kind of gift. Go to your window and look out. The gift is the moon, the MOON. IT IS SMILING AT YOU TONIGHT!"
So...I went to the window, went out of the terrace and this is what I saw.

Now, isn't that the most simple wonderful gift!! A smiling moon!
Thank you dear friend, this is what makes life wonderful. Just remembering another person.
Just a simple moon.
And a little smile.

Exhibition Totò

Today my artwork of Totò is hosted as the profile picture on the web page presenting the exhibition of Totò at the Pinacoteca of Teora (Avellino),  a show of 150 artists, that will be shown in various cities of Italy.

Here are the photos from the facebook page, as well as the artwork I am exhibiting, a sculptural piece created on a box of rice, cardboard, paper, and paints, rice and chopsticks.

The word "riso" has two meanings, one is RICE and the other is LAUGHTER. In this particular case, the rice acts as tears for Totò, a very particular and interesting comic who now celebrates 50 years since his death, and thus the exhibition in his memory, who made many laugh as well as cry with his honest and felt humor, well-known to Italians and others worldwide.
